Chris Brogan is my hero.

Chris Brogan is my hero.

... and not just because he wears a cape!

As the world of media evolves - there is one characteristic that separates 'old' media and what used to be called 'new' media. Heart. Passion. Authenticity. Voice. New platforms and new technology is breaking down walls and allowing voices to be heard that could never have made their way through the narrow pipe that was the mainstream media.

Chris is leading the charge.

As the founder of Pod Camp, he created a place where knowledge flows freely, where anyone with a voice and a story to tell feels welcome, and where the future of media is truly wide open. As the organizer of Jeff Pulver's VON conference, he was able to imbue that event with the same kind of 'can do' spirit and sense of sharing.

So when we began to put the finishing touches on a video blogging product for Magnify, we knew who we wanted to help us guide it. Chris was the first call. Now i'm delighted that Chris will be blogging on Magnify.net - http://www.attentionupgrade.magnify.net/ - and working with us to gather feedback and wisdom from his community of bloggers and podcasters.

Here's how he describes the new blog: "Attention Upgrade is a daily (we hope) videoblog about what has Chris Brogan's attention and how it might upgrade your day." My translation - Chris pays attention so you don't have to. Ok, just kidding - sort of. In the increasingly noisy world of web content and user-generated media, Chris has his eyes wide open and his feelers out. He's early warning radar. He's got a crystal ball. He's paying attention. Simply put - he's a curator.

Ah, we love that word. He's a trailblazer. A 'cool hunter'. And now you get a direct link into his brain, to see what's capturing his attention. So make sure to bookmark www.attentionupgrade.magnify.net, and let him know what you think.
